Learn about our work
The Dantes House Project is a charity initiative dedicated to collecting and redistributing used soccer uniforms and gear to children in The Gambia who have limited access to such resources. By providing proper uniforms, the project fosters a sense of inclusion, teamwork, and pride among young players who might otherwise play “shirts vs. skins” or “white shirts vs. colored shirts.”
Through the universal language of soccer, the Dantes House Project aims to create an inspiring and supportive environment for Gambian youth—because sharing truly makes the world go round.
Founded in 2020 by Telmo Dantes, a native of Banjul, The Gambia, the project was inspired by his own experience with the transformative power of soccer. Telmo’s passion for the sport earned him a scholarship to Tusculum University in Greeneville, Tennessee, where he helped lead his team to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight. Today, he serves as the Academy Director at the Rockdale Youth Soccer Association in Conyers, Georgia, devoting his time to mentoring young players.
Telmo's deep commitment to giving back to his home community has inspired him to collect soccer donations and organize week-long training camps for children in The Gambia.
